Here I sought to depict water in its many forms and places of existence—from algae and mud to lakes, rivers, ocean floors, and rain—combining them to evoke the essence of water itself. I did not want to simply paint it “blue,” as we typically envision water; I wanted to show where it lives. I aimed for its energy to be felt, incorporating different colours to represent this vitality. I sought to convey the life found in water, which, ultimately, is water itself. The style is more fluid and less controlled, further enhancing the sense of movement and the vitality of water.
