Valerio Trippini is a Swiss, Italian, and Canadian artist currently residing in Toronto, Canada. His art is deeply influenced by the vibrant colours of Mexico City, where he spent his childhood, as well as the structure he perceived in Switzerland, his place of birth. His work reflects these diverse cultural backgrounds, creating a unique cultural synergy that often highlights the power of detail, colour, geometry, and symmetry in an awe-inspiring manner. Through his artwork, Valerio aims to evoke emotions and inspire viewers to explore life as he sees it—an organized chaos in constant search of balance.

Valerio is a self-taught artist who began developing his style years ago by sketching on grid paper while pursuing another career path. However, it was in 2020, during the pandemic, that he seized the opportunity to fully immerse himself and explore his artistic passion. Through trial and error, Valerio has perfected his technique and developed a unique and recognizable style—one that is bold, vivid, and full of life.

As an artist, he is particularly drawn to abstract painting. He believes that abstract art invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences and emotions, leaving room for different interpretations. His work aims to establish an emotional connection with the viewer, drawing them into a captivating interplay of colours and shapes. Valerio often incorporates figurative elements into his paintings, as he also values the directness of figurative art, thus sharing his unique vision of reality directly with the viewer. Over time, he has found that acrylic paint is the ideal medium for his artistic vision, allowing for quick drying and layering techniques.

Today, art is not merely a creative outlet for Valerio; it constitutes an essential element of his well-being. It serves as his means to establish order, balance, and structure in life.
