In this painting, I wanted to capture the chameleon’s remarkable ability to blend into its environment. At first, the chameleon is almost hidden, encouraging the viewer to search for it. Once discovered, it emerges from the background. I chose green and brown to reflect the natural surroundings, and added a touch of yellow to the eye to draw attention to the animal.
