YELLOW UMBRELLA

MEDIUM: Acrylic on canvas

SIZE: 50 x 70 cm

DATE: 2023

In this painting, instead of depicting the rain on the umbrella and painting the crossroad yellow, I chose to position the raindrops within the crossroad in a deliberate and orderly pattern. This portrayal aims to convey that rain does not inherently signify chaos. The umbrella is rendered in a bright yellow hue, akin to the sun, symbolizing that, much like sunshine, rain can also be enjoyable. The woman walking exhibits a determined stride, suggesting she may be engaged in a task that feels like a chore on this rainy day, indicating a sense of purpose despite the weather.
